MY THERAPY PRACTICE

As a humanistic counsellor, I believe in your unique qualities; I deeply value your life experiences and what has happened to you. I offer a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space to talk through your thoughts, experiences, feelings, emotions and behaviours. With compassion and empathy, our work together can help to gain an understanding of how fear, trauma, distress, abuse, anxiety, loss, depression, low mood, and lack of confidence may have impacted your life. 

 

I will support you in unravelling what might feel like hopeless, distressing, and overwhelming situations, so we can better understand what you’re experiencing. Gaining clarity on the challenges or distress, you are experiencing helps identify choices that perhaps weren’t apparent to you before.  Having options helps in not feeling so trapped in situations.

 

I will gently encourage you to be open as you can be with me so that our work together in your sessions helps promote positive change, growth and self-compassion in you. I will be with you to listen and accompany you on your journey of change and growth in self-development; I hope that you will gain your voice and value yourself more than you thought possible.

 

I work daytime and evenings. Sessions are 50 minutes long; ideally, we would meet weekly for you to get the most out of your therapeutic counselling. (I understand that sometimes weekly sessions just won’t fit in with your lifestyle, and this is something we can discuss and work around). 

 

 

I offer both open-ended and time-limited therapy, depending on your needs. I practice from a dedicated room located in Southbourne, on the Hampshire and West Sussex border.

 

Free on-site parking.

Southbourne mainline train station is a 15 minute walk away, and the 700 bus stop is a 20 minute walk away.

My therapy room is on the ground floor and is accessible for most people, including wheelchair users (removable ramps are available).

 

Sessions are £50 for 50 minutes

Initially, I offer a free 20 minute initial session to get to know each other a little and see how well suited we are to working together for your needs. This can be done face-to-face, by phone or by zoom. 

 

 

Offering creative therapy from a person-centred modality, all within the humanistic framework.

 

I work with adults (over 18’s), delivering my therapy Face to face, online via zoom or by telephone.
